Assistant Professor - Molecular Genetics of Weeds and Invasive Species
The NC State Weed Science program has a history of excellence in both applied and basic Weed Science research, outreach, and education. Graduates of the program are leaders in industry, extension, and academic programs throughout the U.S. and beyond. The Weed Science faculty are embedded in the Departments of Horticultural Science and Crop and Soil Sciences. The Department of Horticultural Science is composed of 34 faculty (88% tenure track). The department delivers research, creative design, innovative teaching, extension, and outreach associated with the production and utilization, ecology, breeding and basic biology of fruit, vegetable, flower, ornamental, and functional horticultural plants.
