Postdoctoral Position – Astrocyte Neuron Communication Regulating Circadian Behavior and Sleep
Description: NIH-funded position available April 2024 in the lab of Rob Jackson to conduct research on astrocyte-neuron interactions that control Drosophila circadian rhythms and sleep properties (see Sengupta et al., 2019, Current Biology 29, 2547–2554; Jackson et al., WIREs Dev Biol, 2020;9:e372). The studies will utilize genetics, genomics, and imaging approaches, and thus experience in these areas is essential for the successful applicant. Priority will be given to applicants with expertise in neural circuit analysis as related to behavioral regulation.
