The Cohen Children’s Medical Center at Northwell Health, Division of Medical Genetics and Human Genomics, seek a Board Certified/Board Eligible Clinical Geneticist with additional certification and/or interest in Biochemical Genetics/Metabolic Disorders to join our team in New York. Our Medical Genetics Division is comprised of Clinical and Biochemical Geneticists, Genetic Counselors, Nurse Practioners, and Metabolic Nutritionists who provide inpatient and outpatient services primarily at Cohen Children’s Medical Center and North Shore University Hospital. We are recognized by New York State as an Inherited Metabolic Disease Treatment Center. We offer numerous opportunities to contribute to the advancement of science through translational research, patient care, and teaching the next generation of genetics professionals.
The successful candidate will be either a clinician or physician-scientist dedicated to a career in academic medicine. An academic appointment will be commensurate with credentials and experience.
Cohen Children’s Medical Center opened in 1983 as the New York metropolitan area’s only hospital designed exclusively for children. Today, it is the largest pediatric teaching hospital in the region, treating over 230,000 children per year and serving 1.8 million children in Brooklyn, Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk counties.
