Postdoctoral fellow in fission yeast chromatin and RNA biology
The Motamedi Laboratory in the MGB Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to carry out NIH-funded research in fission yeast. The lab investigates how changes in eukaryotic chromatin are made, maintained and propagated, and how these changes establish alternative cellular states particularly in response to persistent stress. The successful candidate will join ongoing projects focused on RNA-mediated chromatin regulation, lncRNA silencers, and heterochromatin biology in stressed and non-stressed cells. The work will use fission yeast as a primary model system and will involve a combination of genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, genomics, and other omics-based approaches.
