Postdoctoral Fellowship in Alzheimer’s Disease Genetics
The Greicius Lab at Stanford University has a two-year postdoctoral position available in the genetics of Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders (ADRD). The Greicius lab studies ADRD using a combination of genetics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and neuroimaging methods. Our goal is to identify and characterize novel genetic variants that contribute to AD pathogenesis. Much of our research is focused on subjects with extreme neurodegenerative phenotypes, such as patients with early-onset AD or people who remain cognitively healthy at advanced ages despite carrying 1 or 2 copies of the high-risk APOE4 genetic variant. The fellow will work closely with the PI, Dr. Michael Greicius, to develop and apply novel genetics approaches, with a focus on long-read sequencing,
