The Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, Davis is seeking to recruit a full-time academic clinical geneticist faculty member in the Division of Genomic Medicine. The Division of Genomic Medicine is composed of 5 clinical faculty, 3 physician-scientists, 5 genetic counselors, a genetic counseling assistant, a nutritionist, a clinical research coordinator and several student volunteers. Specific areas of interest of the Division of Genomic Medicine include Autism and Neurodevelopmental clinic, Biochemical Genetics/Newborn Screening, Cardiovascular Genomics, Craniofacial Genetics, Connective Tissue Disorders, Lysosomal Storage Disorders, Skeletal Dysplasias and Tele Genomics. Genomic Medicine is housed at the MIND Institute at the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California. The MIND Institute was founded in 1998 as a unique interdisciplinary research center where parents, community leaders, researchers, clinicians, and volunteers collaborate to study and treat Autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders. The institute has major research efforts in Autism, Tourette Syndrome, Fragile X Syndrome, Chromosome 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and the RASopathies.
