Associate Research Scientist
Responsibilities during the appointment will consist of studying how genomic instability activates the innate immune response and regulates anti-tumor immunity. The candidate will study how the loss of the DNA translocase SMARCAL1 stimulates the innate immune response and reduces the levels of the immune checkpoint receptor PD-L1. The candidate will complete these studies with additional experiments in humanized mice to determine whether SMARCAL1 inhibition could enhance the response of tumors to immunotherapy and other activities related to the research program of Dr. Alberto Ciccia in the Department of Genetics and Development.
